Character Development and Style Study

This was done for a project in a concept art class I took in my third year of college, where we had to pick style inspirations (as well as some inspirations for the character’s design itself) and mix them together! For this character, I decided I wanted to go with a gothic, visual-kei look with the striking style of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. I turned in the second image for the class, but the first image is the most current version after fixing up the lighting thanks to my professor’s critiques.
